Clean, great value hotel, its location was perfect and close enough to airport as well as the interstate. I did not want to leave there, so would recomand this property.

Had fine stay for the price and the weather was wonderful. Our room was updated and the bed was comfortable. The staff was exceptional plus the location was unbeatable. Also, Our Lady of Lavang Church was 1 mile away from the hotel. We ate at a nice restaurant with fine food.

It was very close to the airport, which is exactly what I needed coming in at midnight and not wanting to drive two hours to get home...
As other reviewers have noted, the hotel's decor is very dated, but still functional. The outside of the building is quite dirty.

Bad experience for solo traveler
The bed was so comfortable, I could feel my worries melt away as I finally fell asleep. The front desk clerk was nice enough to offer me late check-out as a small consolation for the lack of organization at the hotel.
It wasn't inexpensive, but I guess you expect that at places near the airport.

Reasonable price and convenient to the hotel... Free shuttle.
The shuttle van was quite "ghetto"... Carpets torn, door handles broken, dirty inside. The hotel smells musty, rooms were only moderately clean, the room had too much furniture in it for the size, had no information book to tell where ice, vending, tv channels, how to use phone... Nothing. The restaurant was stark and... Frankly pathetic. I don't usually complain or critique but I have stayed in Clarion Hotels before and this was the worst. I almost checked out but since I had no rental car... I was kind of stuck. If my family had been with me, I would not have stayed.

I stayed for one night and loved how close I was to Avondale Park, just a quick 3 km walk, where I could enjoy a nice stroll among the trees, and the Birmingham Museum of Art was only a bit over 5 km away, perfect for a weekend city adventure and sightseeing.

convenient location but lacking attention to detail
The proximity to the airport made it easy for us to catch our flights. The rental car return was just a short drive away, very convenient. The staff greeted us warmly at check-in.
The overall cleanliness seemed to be overlooked .

Convenient location. Very helpful for storage of our car and transport to aiirport.
Smelly, old. Both lavatory and tub stoppers were missing and unable to repair. Restaurant food was only fair, but service was excellent.

I had a truly unsettling experience at a certain hotel. The room's uncleanliness left me feeling uneasy, but at least the bed was comfortable. I was fortunate to finally get a room without disgusting surprises, but the terrible odors in the hallways really detracted from my stay. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.
